NIKE - WRITE THE FUTURE

Nike is definitely stepping up their World Cup campaign. Check out the vid below which highlights Nike's new Elite Series of footy boots. When I first saw this video, the feeling that came over me was unnatural...I didn't know what to make of it. Even still, it's indescribable. The video features the likes of Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo (not the fat one) and Ronaldinho, who coincidentally isn't in the Brazil squad.

Also as a treat, here is the vid directed by Guy Richie (of Snatch and Madonna fame) from a couple years back. Which one do you like better?

b e a t d o w n...

Another throwback to a couple of tracks I remember from way back.

I remember when they first launched BET in Canada, these two videos use to be on heavy rotation. A nice throwback to some classic videos from the '90s.

Enjoy!

All I have to say is WOW, Umbro created a winning combination with this marketing campaign.

Beautiful women and footy, What else does a man need?

c o m p l e x p r e s e n t s: wale's top 50...

If you were to ask me to name one person who you should model your kicks game by I would say Wale without any hesitation. Wale's got a great sense of what makes a heater and not what's just hype.

He recently did a piece for Complex of his Top 50 kicks, peep the list here!

c o m p l e x p r e s e n t s: LeBron’s Greatest Moments in Cleveland...

With Cleveland's recent loss to the Celtics in the '09/'10 NBA Playoffs, rumours are running rampant of LBJ's departure (if you've been living under a rock you should know that LeBron is a free agent come this summer).

As a result, the guys over @ Complex have come up with some of
LBJ's greatest moments in Cleveland.

Does this mean that the King is leaving his hometown to be the King of New York? We'll have to wait and see...

a j v i - i n f r a r e d p a c k (07/10)...

Some new shots of the Air Jordan VI "Infrared" pack rumoured to be dropping July 2010 have hit the web.

The "Infrared" pack which resembles the style of the more recent Jordan packs released (i.e. the Raging Bulls) sport a drawer system style box and special plastic bag coverings for the shoes. These shots may only represent what the samples were released in but its still a good teaser for whats to the come.

The overall box appears to be of a black makeup w/o any visible markings and sport "Air Jordan" lettering found on the OG boxes these were originally released in (i.e. look @ the tongue of the AJ VI for an example). A lot of sneakerheads have already expressed interest in these and hope JB can finally confirm a release date. Although these look more and more like they will release don't be surprised if they're an international release like the AJ III "True Blues" which left many of our Stateside friends in the cold!

t r e n d s e t t i n g: iLTHY...

I was recently put on this new company called "I Love the Hype" who produces these seriously kick ass tees inspired by urban streetwear.

With some obvious influences from BAPE, this company produces some innovative and quite unique designs. Check out their NBA tees, especially those that feature the looming 2010/2011 NBA season draft choices.

With reasonable prices and some cool designs, cop some of their gear over @ their website.

Although I'm a bigger hip hop head, I can appreciate some good reggae...

Bonus

BAPE X Stussy Collabo...

I love BAPE and I love Stussy...

Both brands have really created some memorable pieces and I've been a fan of each brand for some time. We've all heard/seen the collabos each of these brands have done over the last little while and they've finally decided to cross paths.

Scheduled to drop in Summer 2010, no news yet on what the pieces will be and how it will turn out but be sure that when they do release it will be some SERIOUS heat...
